Research achievement Currently I have 3 external grants including a new one: 44998-1-CCNS22164N (HMH-CDI, PI, 2021-2023), 43614-1-CCNS22089 (NIH, Co-PI, 2018-2023), 45981-1-CCNS22233F (NIH, co-I, 2021-2026, new). In addition, I received the GWU OVPR CDRF award last year. My group currently consists of 1 postdoc, 1 PhD students and 1 MS student. One PhD student graduated this year. I am proud of the research productivity and impact of my group this year. My group published 3 papers, all in high impact journals: Cell Report (Impact factor 9.4), Nature Communications (Impact factor 14.92), Elife (Impact factor 8.1). In addition, five more manuscripts are in the pipeline: One in press (Nature Immunology IF=25.6), two in revision (Nature Genetics, IF = 38.3, Nature Immunology IF=25.6), two are close to being submitted. In the past year, our papers have received ~1237 citations (Google Scholar), signifying the impact of my research in the scientific community. Built on the momentum of our recent research activities, we have submitted 4 grant proposals (2 federal, 2 intramural) in the past year, to increase the size of my team and to ensure future success. Teaching achievement I taught Graduate level PHYS6110 Math Method (4 credits) and Phys6130 Computation Physics (1 credit) in the fall of 2020. This spring I am teaching Phys3128 Biophysics (3 credits). Service achievement I am on the Graduate committee, colloquium committee. In addition, I am on the student prize committee.
