Tapan K. Nayak is Professor of Statistics and an ex-Chair of the Department of Statistics at the George Washington University. He has made significant contributions to several areas of statistics including diversity analysis, software reliability, prediction theory, Pitman closeness criterion and privacy and data confidentiality protection. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and an Elected Member of the International Statistical Institute.
