Positions

Unique and aggressive research program investigating the impact of ship air wakes on rotary and fixed-wing aircraft and also on the development of autonomous landing technology for naval vessels. Includes a dedicated 108 ft long research ship based at the US Naval Academy, where Prof Snyder is also a part-time contractor for Naval Air Systems Command. He also supports multiple classified US Navy research programs at the Naval Academy that test specialized equipment on his research ship. Professor Snyder is an outstanding instructor who receives superior student evaluations when teaching both large undergraduate and smaller graduate courses. Acts as Faculty Adviser to undergraduate Baja and Rocket Teams. Contributes significantly to SEAS as Director of Clark Engineering Scholars program.
