My goal has always been to develop my expertise in applied biostatistics using a generalist framework. While being a generalist makes it difficult to find time to develop high expertise in a single area, it does allow me to gather and utilize insights from multiple areas of statistics, health research, and ethical study conduct. Areas of focus have been in sample size determination and best practices in statistical consulting. My achievements have been the multiple grant applications that I have helped develop, many successful over the years, numerous peer-reviewed papers that I have co-authored, and the many successful student collaborations which I have helped develop.
