Positions

I have been collaborating with the researcher who developed the behavioral speech treatment for Parkinson's disease, Dr. Lorraine Ramig, which has been scientifically studied for over 25 years with support from the National Institute for Deafness and other Communication Disorders within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other funding organizations. As a result of this research, this treatment is considered the global “gold standard” for speech treatment for people with PD. Dr. Ramig invited me to collaborate on a Randomized Control Trial (RCT) Comparing Two Intensive Speech Treatments (LSVT LOUD vs. LSVT ARTIC) for my expertise in evaluating linguistic aspects of intelligibility.
