Kausik Sarkar Faculty Member

Positions

My research in the area of computational multiphase flows, rheology and micro- and nano bubbles and particles for ultrasound facilitated imaging, drug delivery and tissue engineering, supported by NIH and NSF, has resulted in 12 PhDs and more than 80 journal publications. In recognition of my contribution to the field of fluid mechanics and biomedical sciences, I became a fellow of American Physical Society (APS) and American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineers (AIMBE), Acoustical Society of America (ASA) and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). I was awarded 2017 SEAS Distinguished Researcher Award of GWU School of Engineering and Applied Science. I have given more than 60 invited talks in professional conferences, academia and industries.
