My key achievements in research include becoming an NIH funded Principal Investigator on several research studies including the the Data Coordinating Center (DCC) for the Maternal Fetal Medicine Units Network, the DCC for the Prenatal Genetic Diagnosis by Genomic Sequencing: A Prospective Evaluation – NICHD, the Research Coordinating Unit for the Lifestyle Interventions in Overweight and Obese Pregnant Women Consortium – NIDDK, the DCC for the Prenatal Cytogenetic Diagnosis Using Comparative Genomic Hybridization Microarray Follow-up Study – NICHD, and the DCC for A randomized controlled trial of pravastatin to prevent preeclampsia in high risk women - NHLBI and NICHD. I have 29 publications with the majority published in the journals Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology which are the two premier obstetrical journals and others in Obesity. My key achievements for teaching include serving as a faculty advisor for MPH students completing their culminating experience, dissertation committee member for 3 doctoral students, a guest lecturer for PubH 6249 (Use of Statistical Packages: Data Management and Data Analysis), a session leader and guest lecturer for PubH 6003 (Principles and Practices of Epidemiology), and reviewing culminating experience final presentations. My key achievements for service include participation on Special Emphasis Panels reviewing applications for NIAID, NIA, NICHD, NHLBI, and NIDCD, Technical Evaluation Panels for NIAMS, External Scientific Consultant for the evaluation of the NIDDK Hepatitis B Network and a member of four Data Safety Monitoring Boards (NIH ECHO Idea States Pediatric Trials Network, NIDDK Hepatitis B Network, NICHD Abiraterone Treatment in congenital adrenal hyperplasia, NIDDK Tribal Turning Point Program). In addition, I serve as a reviewer for several journals including Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Obesity. Within the University, I am a member of the SPH Research Committee, the Advisory Council of Research, and the Conflict of Interest and Commitment Review Committee. With the Biostatistics Center, I am a member of the Executive, Steering, and Funding Opportunities Committees.
