My current research interests include perceived benefits and burdens of cancer clinical trial participation and clinical trial retention, cancer communication, lifestyle behaviors among adults with prediabetes/diabetes, and health care for the underserved population. I have expertise in instrument development, psychometric testing, survey methods, and advanced statistical analysis. My study of benefits and burdens of clinical trial participation and retention is funded by the National Cancer Institute. I have about 30 data-based publications in my career.
I have taught across levels and recently, I have been teaching master and PhD bio-statistics, translation research into practice (TRIP), DNP proposal writing, and advising on DNP projects.
