Wayne Psek Faculty Member

Dr. Wayne Psek is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at The George Washington University. His research and teaching interests cover theoretical and applied fields including Learning healthcare systems; Organization design; leadership and management; quality improvement; strategy and marketing; and innovation and entrepreneurship. His current research focuses on learning health care systems, inter- and intra-organizational learning and design in health systems, clinical innovation, leadership and practice design. Prior to joining The George Washington University, Dr. Psek was an AcademyHealth Delivery System Science Fellow at Geisinger Health System. He received his PhD from the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his medical degree from the University of Pretoria. He is a primary care physician and has practiced in South Africa and England. He has an M.B.A. from York University, Canada and 10 years of business experience managing his own company.
