Positions

Since joining GW in 1984, I have done a modest amount of research regarding the legal and ethical duties of accountants. My greatest contributions to the University, however, are in teaching and service, both of which have been significant. I have taught courses in business law, international business law, accounting, and taxation. I've taught undergraduates, masters, executives, and online, and in every class, my teaching evaluations have been among the top in the school. I also provide strong service to the University, serving from summer 2015 to summer 2019 as GWSB Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs, and previously serving as Director of the Master of Accountancy Program, Founder and Director of the GWSB Summer Business Institute, and Faculty Director of the GW Madrid Study Center. I also served many years on the Faculty Senate Dispute Resolution Committee and as Parliamentarian for GWSB, and no serve on the GWU Faculty Senate. I have served as Chair of the Dean's Council, as a Faculty Guide, and on countless curricular task forces and search committees. My strengths are in leadership, collaboration, communication, and diplomacy. I am able to take complex subjects and explain them clearly and persuasively.
