Toni Marsh is the founding director of the George Washington University paralegal studies program and an associate professor of Paralegal Studies. Professor Marsh also designed and launched the paralegal studies program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and designed the first formal paralegal education program in the nation of Tanzania at the University of Bagamoyo in Tanzania; the curriculum is now used throughout the nation of Tanzania.
Professor Marsh presents frequently on paralegal roles, including using paralegals to increase access to justice in tribal and indigenous communities in Tanzania, Native America and Ecuador; expanding paralegal roles; the unauthorized practice of law; and paralegal licensing.
Professor Marsh, the author of Juvenile Law, is the president of the American Association for Paralegal Education - the nation's oldest and largest paralegal education organization.
