I have been a licensed psychologist and professor of psychology for almost 20 years. During this time, I have developed a line of research that focuses on how attachments influence the psychotherapy relationship in individual, couple, and group treatment. The research has led to over 40 publications, two books on group therapy, and a recent invitation to produce a training video demonstrating group therapy techniques for the American Pyschological Association. I am a fellow of two divisions of the American Psychological Association, Division 29 (Psychotherapy) and Division 49 (Group Therapy). I am also currently the associate editor for Psychotherapy (Division 29) and on the editorial boards of the Journal of Counseling Psychology, International Journal of Group Psychotherapy, and Group Dynamics: Theory, Research, and Practice.
