Joyce Rachel Maring Faculty Member

Positions

Dr. Maring serves as the Chairperson of Health, Human Function, and Rehabilitation Sciences department at The George Washington University and as the Program Director for the Doctor of Health Sciences Program. She teaches course content in her areas of expertise. Dr. Maring has received multiple teaching awards throughout her academic career. She is an active participant in national professional organizations, in professional accreditation, and is an associate editor for a professional journal in physical therapy education. She has an extensive background in educational leadership and research. Her clinical background is in managing pediatric and adults with neurologic dysfunction with a special interest in populations with intellectual and developmental disability. Her grant funding and publications are aligned with her interest in the scholarship of teaching and learning as well as her dedication to improving the health and wellness of persons with developmental disabilities.
