I continue to work on a few articles, I am doing original empirical research with RAs, I was on the teaching and intellectual life committee, I planned and hosted several public interest/criminal justice panels for law students, and I am very active in juvenile and criminal justice policy work outside of the law school. I am also part of a small group of scholars and advocates focused on the use of surveillance technology in the criminal legal system. I am actively involved in efforts both within GW and within the broader law school community to address inclusive anti-racist teaching and improve access to legal education. My school also recognized my teaching by nominating me for the university wide Bender Teaching Award. My paper, Punitive Surveillance (Va L. Review), received the Reidenberg-Kerr Scholarship Award, Privacy Law Scholars Conference 2021 and was selected for the Technologies of Deception Conference, Yale Law School, Information Society Project, 2022. My paper, Punishment Exceptionalism & The Future of Decarceration (under submission) was selected for the 2022 University of Michigan Junior Scholars Conference.
