Dr. Can E. Korman is currently a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies in the School of Engineering and Applied Science. He served as Chair of the Department from 2005 to 2009. He has been with the George Washington University since 1991. His professional expertise is in the areas of nanoelectronics, micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS), sensors, semiconductor noise, magnetics and hysteresis. He is the recipient of two Faculty of the Year awards. He is the co-director of the Institute for MEMS and VLSI Technologies at the George Washington University. He has authored or co-authored over 80 refereed journal papers and conference presentations.
