Kimberly Gross has taught at GW since 2001. She is an associate professor of media and public affairs and political science. Her research focuses on political communication, public opinion, framing, race and trust and has appeared in the American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, Political Psychology, Journal of Communication, Social Science Quarterly and the International Journal of Press/Politics. She is an associate editor of the journal Political Communication. Her research has been supported by grants from the National Science Foundation, Russell Sage and Open Society Institute. She served as associate director of the School of Media and Public Affairs from 2009-2016, and was assistant director from 2006-2008. She has a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
