J. Zoe Beckerman is a Teaching Associate Professor and Vice Chair of Academic Affairs in the Milken Institute School of Public Health's Department of Health Policy and Management. Her teaching for GW is a mix of teaching in the undergraduate program as well as the Practicum Director for GW@SPH (the School's online MPH program). She provides service to her department acting as the Vice Chair handling issues relating to faculty and students, curriculum, and academic integrity. She also serves as the Academic Director of the Geiger Gibson Program. Zoe was also recently a co-Principal Investigator researching and writing on Medicaid managed care issues. Finally Zoe was delighted to be awarded the Milken Institute School of Public Health's Excellent in Teaching Award in May 2019.
