Positions

Until 2008, my primary research focus involved studying the effects of fatty acids and eicosanoids on cell function. Since that time, I changed my primary research interest to the History of Medicine with a major fascination in the history of 19th and early 20th century Jewish hospitals and the historical development of medical technologies. In addition to my teaching undergraduate, graduate and medical courses, my major administrative role as the departmental vice chair of education is to direct the MS program in Molecular Biochemistry and Bioinformatics as well as to oversee the teaching activities of the departmental faculty.
