The first round was comprised of 80 candidates, the second round 16 and, the final round 5. After reviewing the candidates’ dossiers in the first round, I participated in the Skype interviews during the second round, evaluated their performance in person during their campus-visits, and took part in the final selection vote to select two candidates. - I advised one my former students, Leah Rich, who was writing her thesis. - I attended the 2018 Spring Symposium on Community-Engaged Scholarship. I have already met and discussed with Wendy Wagner about ways to connect my students with organizations and individuals in the greater DC area. P.S.: Wendy Wagner is a Senior Program Associate for Community-Engaged Scholarship Honey at the Honey W. Nashman Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service - I attended the César Chávez and Dolores Huerta Day. - I reviewed the Spanish language candidate dossiers, watched videos of their teaching, and participated in person in the voting/selection process.
