Christy Zink is an assistant professor of writing in the University Writing Program. She has published work in outlets such as _American Literary Review_, _Beltway Quarterly, _Civilization_, Gettysburg Review_, _So to Speak: A Feminist Journal of Language and Art_, and _The Washington Post_. She has twice been a fellow at the Virginia Center for Creative Arts and was awarded a writing grant from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. She is the former director of GW's University Writing Center and the former director for PEN/Faulkner's Writers in Schools Program. She is currently an advocate for literacy as well as for women's health, with experience in media appearances and Congressional testimony.
