Crystel Lynn Farina Faculty Member

Ms. Farina is the Director of Simulation and Experiential Learning at The George Washington University School of Nursing (GWSON) where she leads simulation experiences for graduate and undergraduate nursing students. Additionally, she is studying and creating new simulation and debriefing models that serve as substitutes to traditional clinical experiences to better prepare nurses for today’s increasingly complex healthcare environment. Additionally, Ms., Farina has been working with Angela McNelis as a Co-investigator on the evaluation of the Laerdal Medical Multi-Skill Trainer used by nursing students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Laerdal Medical provided$51,600.00 worth of Multi-Skill Trainers to first and second semester nursing students to allow students to remotely practice nursing skills. Ms. Farina and Dr. McNelis collected data from students about usability and uses of the Multi-skill trainer.
