Christine Seaton, DNP, MSN, RN, CNE, CHSE, is assistant director of simulation and a clinical assistant professor of nursing in the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program at George Washington University’s School of Nursing. She obtained her doctorate in nursing practice at George Washington University School of Nursing with a focus on Patient Safety and Healthcare Quality. In her teaching role, Ms. Seaton is primary faculty and course coordinator for coursework that ranges from simulated clinical experiences, patient safety and quality, senior capstone preparation for transition to new graduate, and advanced medical-surgical skills. She has clinical expertise in adult critical care and holds certification in nursing education and healthcare simulation education. She is an active member of the Virginia State Simulation Alliance, where she serves on the Board of Directors as conference planning director.
