Research related to phase separation in binary systems with an inhibitory long-range interaction term on two dimensional compact manifolds, bounded domains and unbounded domains continues. We have recently applied conformal mapping theory and elliptic function theory to obtain some new results for the sharp interface problem on a compact domain with boundary. We will turn our attention to pattern formation on the flat torus, singly and doubly periodic patterns, and patterns on compact manifolds of genus greater than zero. We are also studying the launch dynamics of a large scientific balloon and the application of wavelet analysis to the deconvolution problem in antenna analysis.
