Positions

Research was previously conducted under grants with NASA, AFOSR and the NSF. Current research includes a Phase 2 SBIR consulting contract with Spectral Energies LLC in Dayton, Ohio entitled "High-Repetition-Rate, Narrow-Linewidth Burst-Mode Optical Parametric Oscillator for High-Speed Flow and Combustion Diagnostics", and a DARPA grant subcontract to Cutler/GWU entitled "Spatially-Resolved Measurement of Temperature and Species to Investigate Fuel/Air Mixing and Flame Stability in a Partially-Premixed Scramjet Combustor." Collaborations include University of Virginia, NC State, and Technische Universitat Darmstadt Fachbereich Maschinenbau Darmstadt. Courses taught are UG Capstone (I and II), UG Aerodynamics Laboratory, and graduate Aerodynamics. Service to the department includes chairing the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee. Service to the professional community includes participation in Aerodynamic Measurement Techniques technical committee of the AIAA and substantial conference and journal paper reviewing.
