Adrian Avery Archer Faculty Member

Avery Archer earned a B.A. from the University of the Southern Caribbean (2000) in Trinidad, an M.A. from Harvard University (2002), an M.Phil. from the University of St. Andrews (2008) in Scotland, and a Ph.D. in philosophy from Columbia University (2013). He was Assistant Professor in the philosophy department at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from 2013-2015. He joined the philosophy department at The George Washington University as Assistant Professor in 2016. His academic research is primarily in epistemology and philosophy of action at the intersection of philosophy of mind, moral psychology, and metaethics.
